Post Abduction Syndrome

Though some abductees can consciously remember the abduction experience, many can only recall the memory while under hypnosis. Those who are abducted usually exhibit some sort of physical side-effects from the experience known as Post Abduction Syndrome. The most common symptoms are:

  • Lost or missing time, usually 1 and a half to 2 and a half hours.
  • Frequent nose bleeds, sinus pain, pressure.
  • Nightmares of the abduction experience.
  • Looking at an object and feeling like one is looking at something else.
  • The presence of mysterious stains, bruises, needle marks, implants, scars Deterioration of health, loss of hair, etc…

Some women abductees have suffered from a various internal complications, including a high incidence of ovarian cysts. There have also been cases of what is known as “missing fetus syndrome,” in which a pregnant woman’s fetus mysteriously and inexplicably disappears overnight, without any indications of a miscarriage. In some cases problems have been so severe as to require a total hysterectomy.

Those who are abducted report never being the same again, as if their alien abductors were always nearby or, in some cases, within them (much like an infection or a possession state). Some abductees experience a degeneration of their mental, social, and spiritual well-being.  Excessive behavior frequently erupts, such as drug abuse, alcoholism, overeating, and promiscuity. Strange obsessions develop and cause the disruption of normal life and the destruction of personal relationships. These have led to surgery, debilitation, and even death from causes the doctors can’t identify.

In the early 1980s psychological testing of a small group of abductees in New York indicated that they suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Dr. Elizabeth Slater, remarked that these findings are “not inconsistent with the possibility that reported UFO abductions have, in fact, occurred.”  PSTD is not the cause but the consequence of the abduction process.
